| Among Brian's rare tracks - from Stray Cats B side singles like "Drink That Bottle Down" to BSO Japanese bonus tracks like "Fly Juice" passing by solo unrealised like "Echo Park" - which one is your favorite ?
For me, I think it's "Jumpin' At The Capitol" the Japanese bonus track of Nitro Burnin' Funny Daddy...
An other underrated album we could hear on the Music Player (Jumpin' At The Capitol is in the spirit of your actual avatar Tommy, no ?)

| Scatman Jack is pretty good. A lot of us got copies on cd years ago when there was a big party at the Blue Comet for Brian Setzer fans. Let's see, that was Jan of Feb of 2002 I believe. It was also an extra track on one of the Japanese Albums. Good stuff, let me tell ya. | |

| Stan, That party, "The Setzer Fest" was held at the once great Blue Comet outside of Philly USA on 8 December 2001. What a night. I crammed over 200 people into the Comet for a shindig that featured Boz Boorer and the Hudson Dusters (with Eddie Von Bach). Seems like a century ago. Top night though.
Setzerado, I'll add "Nitro" to the Music Player tonight. I'll also add some bonus material from that time frame. Great idea.
Hope all is well with everyone. Hey! Where did the summer go??
Best! Tommy | |

| Wow, I didn't know the Blue Comet was no more. I now see the website just gives an "Off the Air Status" with the Indian from old TV days.

| I'll put the website back when the owner gets the Liquor License back. The LCB took that, along with his pride last Wednesday night.

| Echo Park was the first song I heard after my first daughter Ella Rose was born, and I never forget that even though it had nothing to do with the song, her first cries were gonna stay with me forever. I've noticed that Brian's music always has been present at major events in my life, hows about yours? Cheers pete. | |

| If you can call Malaguena a rarity, then that one gets my vote. I was listening to Blast Off! the other day and I always get a kick out of Slip, Slip, Slippin' In even if I get a little scared hearing Brian sing that one. Yikes! Nine Lives is a cool song too. So much great music. | |

| My Favorite rarity is by far Drink That Bottle Down. I really like all versions of that song, but if I had to pick a favorite, it's the version on Youtube from Paris in 1983 (? I believe), because his guitar playing on that is just fantastic. The orchestra version is great too, so is the original B-side (even though they don't exactly stick to the 12-bar form during the solo) but I don't know how to explain this or why, but some songs like Drink That Bottle Down I actually like better with Lee Rocker singing the lead vocals. Nothing against Brian's voice, as he's the main vocalist, but I think that song and some others fit Lee's lower range/style a bit better. I would compare this to The Rolling Stones' take on Dead Flowers, which I like better with Keith Richards singing instead of Mick Jagger.
Echo Park is also another good one. I'll also mention Bach's Bounce which Tommy put on the music player awhile back (Thanks to ye!). I'll admit to not having heard Fly Juice; maybe a future version of the music player might include that and some of the other BSO Japanese Bonus Tracks.

"Honky Tonk Hell" with the Paine Bros.......'nuff said.
"Everybody Wants to be a Cat".......would love to hear the BSO cover this!

| An honourable mention to the BSO cover of Led Zeps' Black Dog.A totally obscure choice of song. Steve | |

| Scatman Jack definetly, it's so different. I always love the Setzer songs that are way outside of the box. Songs Like Hennepin Bridge, Wild Wind, Take A Break Guys, and who the hell would ever think to turn Angels We Have Heard on High into a Buddy Holly song? I don't care what he does on his next album I just hope he continues the tradition of putting at least one song that is way out there. Those are like little candies in a delicious grape gumball. | |
