Cords are beautifully designed automobiles! The 812 SC is a true work of '30's design art. Just google "Auburn Cord Deusenberg" and then you'll long to know the Cords! alien

Well, to quote Mr. Jagger, "Now you can't always get what you want...
but if you try sometimes, you might find, you get what you need."

Ok, jokes aside, this is a tricky one to hear. The only place I've ever seen it transcribed would be as part of a Japanese BSO Dirty Boogie band score (Ebay) with about 4 or 5 other songs. I could only view parts of two pages in the accompanying photos, but if you can find/buy/win the book, it'll give you the whole song, melody included. I have played through this one before, but unfortunately, I didn't write the whole thing down at the time, and have since forgotten some of the parts. That said, I think I can give you a roadmap to sort of figure out the rest of it, and in the future, perhaps, I'll add another post with the full complete set of changes.

You're the Boss

Key of Dm, key changes to Fm about 2/3 of the way through the song and the song ends in Fm.

A5 (17th fret root) {opening chord I think, not 100% sure}

1st Progression (1st, 2nd, 3rd Verses):

Dm (10th fret root)-A(5th fret root)-C(8th fret root)-C#(9th fret root)

2nd Progression (1st, 2nd, 3rd Verses):

Gm-G#dim7-Dm-Gm-G#dim7

Ok, so to recap, you play the opening chord and the 1st progression, repeating the 1st progression for the first verse until Brian starts singing "You've got...", and then you play the 2nd progression. At the end of the 2nd progression, play something like this:

Dm-B13-Bb13-A713-A7#5

I may have the exact chords wrong, but it's a descending jazz line from the Dm back to the A7 and then resolving back to Dm as you start the 2nd Verse. Play the 2nd Verse the same way as the 1st, and the 2nd Progression the same as well. However, this time at the end of the 2nd Progression, you'll play a 7th chord (G7?), which will resolve to a major 6th/7th/9th (either or) chord (Cmaj7?) and then back to Dm, then back to the major chord, and then you'd play another 7th type chord (E7 or Em7?) and then an A7 to resolve back to Dm. Again, I might have some of the chords wrong, but that's the general idea as it's a jazz cyle.

Now you go back to the 1st Progression and the 2nd progression for the 3rd Verse. End on Dm. Then at the 2:00 mark, the 8-bar instrumental bridge begins. This is where the song changes keys to Fm. This is probably the part I least remember, but how about something like:

Am-Ab7-Gm7-C7-Fm-Db7-Gm7-C7b9-Fm7-F#13-Gm7-Db7#9-C7#9-Fm-B7

Coming out of the bridge, you play the 2nd Progression, but a minor third higher (i.e. Bbm-Bdim7-Fm) since you're now in a diff. key. End it using the original desending ending that you played back in the 1st Verse but in the key of Fm. Play the 4th Verse in Fm using Progessions 1 and 2, and then vamp out on Fm-type extended chord (i.e. 6ths, 9ths, 13ths). The last chord might be Fm(Maj9).

The lead guitar fills are mainly just Dm and Fm pentatonic blues runs played at the 10th and 13th positions, respectively.

Ok hope that helps ye get started. Feel free to post any comments or corrections.

P.S. The pages of the Ebay book showed the F#13-Gm7-Db7#9-C7#9-Fm-B7 change and what I called Progression 2 in Fm.
