Looks like I will be driving this year instead of flying. Seven hours to Austin, not bad.
I was hoping to see a Florida date, that would give me a good excuse get down there again.

I am so psyched that BSO is coming within driving distance of Louisiana! Austin is a mere 6 hours away! I was going through some old stuff and I still have my ticket stub from when I saw the Stray Cats in 1983! The last time I saw Brian Setzer was 1986 during his solo performance for The Knife Feels Like Justice tour (I have that ticket stub too!) Twenty Two Years!!! Shocked

I'm waaaaaay over due for a live fix of Brian! I started to listen to the Stray Cats when only college radio stations would play their songs. How many people out there know that Brian plays a mean banjo?

Yup, very convenient for me too. I work right around the corner from the Strathmore. Haven't been there yet. I hear it has great acoustics.

Woot! Finally a show that isn't in the south suburbs of Chicago but is instead just a few miles form my house on the north side. Never been to the Genesee theater but I hear it's really nice. The wife and I will be there for sure.

It looks really nice according to the website; I've never been there, either. However, anything at this point is a step up from the 930 Club! Last time Brian played there, some drunk was screaming at him because he wasn't rocking enough or something. I like that the Strathmore will have assigned seating; if you found a good place to stand at the 930 Club, you damn well had to stay there the entire time or lose it!

I prefer upstairs in the center at the 9:30 club. Great view, over everyones head.

That's exactly where I stood both times I went. But there were always people waiting to move in. I was able to stand right at the railing, and I just wouldn't move!

Got my Tickets this morning for the BSO show at the Keswick, 7th row from the stage in a pretty small venue, i could not be more excited. Also its nice to see a show and get 6 tickets for like 200 bucks. After all whats a poor college student supposed to do, work another job, fat chance.
