| Hey gang, Didn't put a splashy graphic up, but wanted you to know that the Cats record, "Choo Choo Hot Fish" is now playing in the Music Player on BrianSetzer.com. Have a listen.
No bones about it! Tommy

| Ah yes, The Choo Choo album.
The first time I laid eyes on this cd was in a music store across the street from the Ohio State University. lThis was the summer or '98. So the one copy the store had probably been collecting dust for like six years. And wouldn't you know it. Some guy sees the cd seconds before me and grabs it to look at it. I stood nearby pretending not to be too interested in his find all the while hoping he'd put it back. No such luck. So it would be another year before finding my own copy via TowerRecords.com. Well worth the wait but would rather not have.

| If anyone knew, I doubt they'd post it here, as that would surely mean the end of the music player. It's not that tough to find through the usual Amazon and eBay outlets. Hopefully, it will get a proper reissue someday so Brian, Lee, and Jim will see some money from sales to people discovering the album for the first time.
Failing a decent re-issue on CD, long out-of-print CDs and albums NEVER released on CD are popping up on iTunes and other online outlets these days. As much as I love liner notes and LP jackets, sometimes just being able to hear the music is enough. Here's hoping the all the Cats albums find a digital home soon.

| I have this one on a special 10" edition. It's a great one. Cry baby, Jade Idol, My heart is a liar, Beautiful Blues and a stunning version of Sleepwalk are among my favourites. Though Elvis on Velvet is a bit too much poppy for my taste. Seems like the boys did one last try to make a hit in the popcharts.

| great album, like it very much. I orderd it at amazon and it came from NY. It was used, but really ok. but was it successfull when it came out? it sounds a bit modern and not so authentic rockabilly stylish. ( what i like very much, and i wonder why sometimes old cat fans are surprised of 13! Didn`t they listen to "the knife feels like justice" or Live Nude guitars" and "Choo Choo Hot fish )and i was wondering which guitars Mr. Setzer used for recording. It sounds like Gretsch guitars, but different. By the way: i`m looking for "Original cool". But the offers in ebay or amazon are so high. More than 50 Euro`s (around 40USD). If somebody know where i could get it, pls. tell me. Not a copie, an original CD. Used or new. Thanks | |

| Hi all - new to the forum, but well acquainted with the 'Cats I bought Choo Choo Hot Fish hot off the shelf in 1991 (?) and have not let it out of my sight since. Being a Cats fan, I was always on the lookout for new releases, but was used to some sort of promotion. This album had none. It was like finding $100 in your pocket when doing laundry. I traded away some good CD's in my lifetime, but this one was golden. A couple of tracks seem a bit over-produced (Cry Baby, Please Don't Touch), but are still great songs. I was so pleased to see Mystery Train live on the DVD from Tokyo, and my favorite is the jazzy Beautiful Blues. Saw Setzer in '88 or '89 on the LNG tour, and saw BSO Christmas Extravaganza last December - he still rocks it! | |

| If I remember correctly Brian said that this restaurant has been in the city where they recorded the album and that was - according to the credits at the cover - Lookout Mountain, Tennessee.

Chris The elvis On Velvet thing is weird isn't it? I heard that it was written and sent to them by a songwriter or something (my memory is really going though). The live version backfired a couple of times when the sample of the backing vocals tripped. Cry Baby is just amazing. The whole format of the song blows me away, and Dave Edmunds input is soooo apparant. Jade Idol, amazing. The album is amazing that is true. Think of all the moneythese crazy men have spent ooooohn you. i guess I'm one of them too. Slim Jim are you ready... we're gettin' on that train. Puff Puff Warm Cod
