On Saint Patricks day 1985 the JETS played my hometown in Ireland, I went there about 3 hours early and got to hang out with them while they set up thier gear and rehearsed. They even let me tape the soundcheck and the show. During the show me and some friends got to sing the bopadada background vocals to Elvis TeddyBear on stage with the band. One of the best shows I've ever been to. My son also has an inherited genetic disease 'Cystic Fibrosis, so I hope the Jet boys get well soon.

Oh wow! puts life into perspective doesn't it? I don't mind admitting that, as a Jets fan and avid spectator at their Rotherham gigs (which were plentiful during the 80's) I just shed a few tears - maybe my hormones are shot cos i just had a new baby!!!. Can't help thinking, what happens when Tony reaches the sane stage.... no more organs for transplanting!!!

Much love and care to the whole family. If could do anything I would, but i am just a humble supporter of 3 great brothers playing good music.

Humble Mikey x

Hi Irishguy, you're not from Ballyliffin are you? They played there around that time, fantastic gig, we hung out with them after the gig too, real sound ordinary guys.

Good tomake your acquaintance, Irishguy, must have been a tour they were on, great gig and a great night, Ballyliffin is a bit of a one horse town, (apologies to anyone from Ballyliffin!!) but the Jets lifted the roof off the place. I hope all goes well for them.

I just want to add my best wishes to the Cotton Brothers. I too have experience of CF, I had 3 cousins die of that disease and have a nephew who is coping with it, though it's a lot of hard work for his mum (my sister). Let's hope everything goes OK for everyone.
