| On the outside, I'm just a bit too young to have seen the Stones up front, in person, in all their glory.
In my heart, I'm one of their rockin'est fans... I wanna hear your stories. Tell us when, where, and how you got to see 'em. Pictures are cool, too - especially the US tour, circa 83!
You geezers better step up to the plate!
Rock on witcha bad self!

| We saw the Stones at Giants Stadium in 2006. Before the show we were hanging around in a corporate box talking to a group of people which was great because A) they had open bar and food and B) we didn't have to endure the Kanye portion of the evening this way. Anyway, one guy saw the Stones in 1960 in the basement of some bar in London and had been a fan ever since. He flew in from England that day for the show.
When we got to our seats, I sat next to some guy (didn't know him) who sang along at the top of his lungs with Mick on every song, while playing his air guitar and air drums. He was in such absolute heaven that I didn't have the heart to tell him I couldn't hear Mick. I'm glad, too, because I'm pretty sure I was singing along with Brian on a few songs last week myself. Sometimes you just can't help these things.

Rolling Stones with Living Colour. Louisiana Superdome. Steel Wheels tour '89. not bad...and what for a cool reason to go to the Stones...do you remember anyhing? I saw the Stones around 94 in Berlin. The first tour without Bill. I was also waiting in front of the Hotel. (it was on the way to my Hotel) and saw them goin into their Tourbus (oh..they only used a bus from the Hotel to the Stadion, i guess). Keef and Ron with a drink in their hands and Charly.. Charly just walked in. we didn`t see Mick. So, very exiting...(never did it again) And 94 the people said: better watch the Stones, maybe it is the last tour. It was not bad, but i don`t like these stadion Gigs. After the show we went by subway, the whole subwaycrowd was singing brown sugar.. edit: hmm wrong forum, or? I think NON-Setzer related is a better place for this topic.

I figured LIVE SHOWS was appropriate... I had just finished watching a Cats video from the US '83 tour. Check out ROCKABILLYRULES' youtube stuff. Then I turned on the radio and heard the Stones, didn't really think about it... sorry! Was also a little, uh.. last night. Cool stories, guys - I especially like yours, radioclash. My mom took me to a concert once, at the county fair... I went to ride the ferris wheel and check out that freaky house of mirrors, but my friend and I were forced to sit through an Oak Ridge Boys show with our mothers. A couple hours of that for a 9 year-old kid is just cruel, I tell ya!

| Ah yes.....The Stones...
I first saw the Stones in 81..maybe the Tattoo You tour(?)..hard to remember...Ha Ha Ha! Stadium show in San Diego, opening acts were J Geils Band, Pat Travers and George Thorogood. It cost me $15 and I was there at 5 in the morning..the good old days of festival seating! They killed. I also saw them in San Diego on the Steel Wheels tour and the Bigger Bang tour. I was fortunate to have passes and can only say those guys are a class act all the way. Keith came in and said hi with Charlie, and some of their musicains, Blondie Chapman and Bernard Fowler, and they worked the room and took the time to chat with everyone for at least a few minutes before the show. Not a large backstage hang, real mellow. Just one thing...big signs...No Pictures!
Glad I got to see them with Bill Wyman, one of the bass masters!

You had passes? I know this is really difficult to get "all access" passes of a Stones Tour.... wow.I know an light technician who was working for some tours in US, Australia and i guess also Europe. And he even didn`t have access to the artist area. But what he said is, nice workin, no or less busrides, only planes. Nice Hotels, good working times. It is a big company the Rolling Stone Circus.
