| Hi gang,
I was at the show last night in the OC. Great, great show. Here is the set list (from memory). Not necessarily in order, but pretty close:
1. Rumble in Brighton 2. 7 Nights to Rock 3. Cry Baby 4. Double Talking Baby 5. Too Hip Gotta Go 6. Somethings Wrong With My Radio 5. Runaway Boys 6. Sexy and 17 7. Blast Off! 8. Fishnet Stockings 9. Sweet Gene Vincent 10. Stray Cat Strut 11. Gene and Eddie 12. Bring It Back Again 13. I Fought the Law 14. Rock This Town 15 Summertime Blues
It was great to see Ness show up for the gig. Too bad his mic was not working and the mix on his guitar wasn't right until nearly the end of the song. They shoulda gone straight into Brand New Cadillac with him still on the stage. But hey, I can't complain. Awesome show.

| I didn't get to go to the show, but I do have some pics of Lee's new bass fresh out of the paint booth somewhere. Brad at King Doublebass sent them to me last week.
i'll see if I can find em.

| I sure hope Seven Nights to Rock remains a staple of their playlists - is a new album too much to hope for? I got a call during Sweet Gene Vincent last night as well, but I couldn't make out the lyrics - it was sooo familiar, but it was driving me crazy not knowing for sure what it was.
Without too much digging, the average fan can find an official or unofficial live show with all their favorites. I'm very glad to see they're mixing it up with lesser-played and never before played rockers.
I can't wait to see the photos!

| Briefly...............
Fantastic sold-out show (really unfortunate about I Fought the Law)
Beautiful weather, great crowd
I was expecting a 60 min show, what with 3 bands, etc, but the Cats played almost 90 minutes!
....and Tommy is on a plane heading back to PA right now, so it might be a while until we hear from him.
Ooby Dooby! Scatman
PS The setlist looks about right, just switch around 13 and 14. Mike Ness came out for the first of the 2 encore songs.

| As much as I love Brian, the Cats and BSO (and I dearly love them all and have seen them many times), and while I respect the opinions of the other posters, I humbly disagree that this was a great show. Sound was terrible, and had been all night (Joe Ely's guitarist had a terrible time with his rig and/or the PA too). The Cats' mix was muddy, overall volume was too low, Brian's vocals and guitar were often lost. The Pacific Amphitheatre isn't the greatest venue sound-wise, but I saw B.B. King there a week or 10 days before the Cats and his band sounded great. (They were also louder .) I also don't think the boys were very tight--they got turned around for a bit in Seven Nights to Rock and were just generally not in complete synch. Also felt that Brian's energy was not what it usually is. This really felt to me like a warm-up/get-the-bugs-out set before the big tour. I hope they return and do the States when they're really firing. Lots of Social D. fans in the house since this is the OC, so I at least understand the thinking behind Ness's cameo . . . . Agree that 13 and 14 are switched on the set list. Gretsch Love, 5ive Edit: There's a parallel thread running (The OC Show). One poster says the sound techie "sucks balls" . . . . Absolutely could not agree more. A real shame.

| I'm in Houston (Big Ole) Texas waiting for my flight back to Philly. I just posted one shot and will put up some others and the setlist before I board the plane. Stick around.
What a show. What a band. What a crowd.

| Tommy, fantastic photography as usual. I've seen posts about the poor sound, but in the photos it looks like the guys are havin' a natural ball. Thank you so much for letting the rest of us see all the excitement. | |

| The show last night was totally fantastic! The best they have aver sounded in my opinion! Not sure where the bad sound comment is all about, but I think it was best sound system I have ever heard and I have been to over 60 of Brian's and the Cats shows over the past 20 some odd years. The Cats were extremely tight last night. 5ive must have been at another show down the street or something, because the show I saw last night was the best! Brian was even almost 100% spot on with his playing. Usually I can here all the, for lack of a better word, bad notes he plays which usually a few. Last night I only heard 1 bad note played on Cry Baby. Nicely done Brian ! Also, Brian's voice was excelent. Thank you to Brian, Jim and Lee for a great show ! Can't wat for the US tour next year, hopefully I will make a few shows of he tour. Have a Stray Cats day ! Ross | |

| I agree with 5ive, I was a few rows back from the sound guys and the sound was bad. The pacific tends to be quiet due to complaining neighbors but to have the mix off that mutch was criminal. Also, in comparing this show to the SD show last August, I also aagree that the energy level was down, but I would go back tonight and tomorrow at the drop of a hat.
one thing left off so far is how great Hot Rod Lincoln sounded. Buzz, Tim & Ty tore it up. They were tight and just sounded awesome. I wish they would haave gotten a little more time.
Third note....I know Brian is a guitar god.... but Lee was on last night! He was a rockin hard! A great night and Tommy, it was nice meeting you......it was you right?
