MEETING BRIAN

HEY GANG! I MET BRIAN AFTER A CATS GIG AT "TRANSFORMERS" IN ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA 1991. HE WAS COOL, SIGNED MY 60'S HOFNER GUITAR PICK GUARD, GAVE US SIGNED PROMOS AND GUITAR PICKS. THE BEST PART WAS THAT HE ACTUALLY SEEMED TO ENJOY MEETING HIS FANS AND SHARING A MINUTE OR TWO TO CHAT WITH THEM. AS AN IMPRESSIONABLE KID THIS REALLY MEANT THE WORLD TO ME AND MADE ME WANT TO ACTUALLY LEARN THE GUITAR INSTEAD OF JUST PLUNKING ON IT! ANYWAYS, JUST WANTED TO THANK BRIAN FOR THAT DEFINING MOMENT IN MY LIFE AND I'M SURE HE WOULD OF DONE THE SAME FOR COUNTLESS OTHERS AROUND THE WORLD. KEEP ROCKIN' PETE

Hi Pete, i share youre impression of that moment when a fan meet his hero, for me it was one of the magic moments in life, when i m caught him backstage in 1989 in Germany, Bonn Buisquit hall! For me is Brian a motor to keep my guitar playin futher and futher... greetings from Germany to Australia!

In the early days it was really easy to meet the Stray Cats. They were very receptive. My mates and I got back stage at Swansea Top Rank in 1981, spoke to all the band and marvelled at the quality of the buffet they had in their dressing room!!! Also, we got back stage at the Lyceum in 1983. Best part of that was my 15 minute chat with Lemmy from Motorhead who was waiting to meet up with the boys. Most memorable part was when Vrit Ekland and Slim Jim rushed past us having a domestic!!!!!
