| Thought this would be a good laugh, or maybe not, depending on what it is. Here is mine: I had been working at a job for about a week and was in the bosses office with the door closed trying to figure out the mess his assistant made of the books. He had two doors one was the door to the warehouse, and the other was to the office. Mid-sentence I let loose the biggest fart in history! You've heard of the shot heard around the world, this was the fart heard around the world. I just got up and walked out into the warehouse. There, of course, were two of my co-workers who just happend to be standing outside the door, where no one usually is. I was laughing so hard, no sound was coming out. They had a weird look on their faces, and asked if I was ok. I said I just farted in Bill's office. They said "That was a fart? We couldn't figure out what the noise was". Needless to say they started laughing really hard. I went to my desk through another door (I wasn't going to go through my bosses office since I was sooooo embarrassed ). I was still laughing & my bosses assistant asked me what was so funny & I told her that I farted. She started laughing and said the same thing the guys in the warehouse did. Of course she was cracking up also. Maybe a minute later the boss finally came out of his office. He asked me why I left, of course that made me laugh even more. Getting mad he asked me what was so funny. I asked him "Didn't you hear me fart?". He said no. Which made us all (the warehouse guys were in the office by then laughing) laugh even more. After that my nick name was toots around the office. PPK | |

| The first and only time I ever sang karaoke in public. It was at an office Christmas party, and a coworker of mine was nagging me to get up there, saying I had an awesome voice (I voiced radio commercials for a living) so I probably had an awesome singing voice too. A couple glasses of wine into the night and I decided to go for it. I asked my boss to help me sing "Summertime Blues" by doing the deep voice male parts (you can't use the car cause you didn't work a lick, etc) Up till that point my other coworkers got up and sang and people clapped for them, looked happy, joined in... I got up and started singing and everyone just stared at me uncomfortably. I could not for the life of me find the right notes to sing, I sounded bleeding awful. The girl who initially egged me on left the room. Nobody clapped. My boss didn't back me up, telling me when it was over that he actually didn't know the song at all. I was mortified. So yeah, that's pretty much why I have a fear of singing karaoke in front of other people! I think I have honestly gotten a little better at singing since then and I have recorded myself singing a few karaoke songs and I know where my weaknesses are - and if I had more time I'd work on it more. But I just can't bring myself to sing karaoke live. On our roadtrip two weeks ago we stayed in a tiny little town in the middle of nowhere, and the local pub was having a karaoke competition. Nobody knew me, I'd never be back, I could use an assumed name, and I'm pretty sure I was better than a few of the other people that sang. But I just couldn't bring myself to do it. | |

| I don't know if you realise, but I tend to do and say alot of stupid things. Because I'm an actor and always on stage, the embarrassment level is lifted when played out in front of an audience Here are a few moments in my life that I wish I could forget: 1. Meeting Chris Cheney (The Living End) and forgetting his name.. I was petrified OKAY!! 2. Passing out in front of my entire high school on THREE seperate occasions in the same week.. now I know when I'm going to drop so I just sit with my head between my legs.. like THAT isn't embarrassing. 3. Just the other week I was in a play where I had to wear one of those oldschool nighties that button up on the front. Little did I know that halfway through my scene ALL of my buttons had come undone, revealing... well, revealing what should not be revealed in a PG rated play. 4. I ALWAYS put my foot in my mouth, there are too many occasions to list. One of the most recent was getting the script to a play, I went up to my director to tell him that I thought it was a load of you know what and his reply to me was 'I wrote that play'.. lesson here is get to know your directors name and plays that they have written BEFORE you open your mouth. 5. Last year I met some people off MySpace, we were at a gig and I saw them first so I went up to them and introduced myself 'Hi, my name is Kid, you may recognise me from such places as MySpace'.. THAT was more embarrassing than I thought it would be.. so if I ever meet any of you I will probably say something stupid within the first minute.. don't hold it against me. Kid. | |

| Kid, I can totally appreciate your story! My biggest problem I'd have to say is I'm a clutz. Although, saying stupid things ranks up there too... My most embarrassing moment was in college. One bright & beautiful summery day I was walking to class on a gorgeous campus with about 30 other strangers and out of nowhere I fell flat on my face. Just like a toddler. My luck, I was also wearing a skirt which managed to get out of the way between walking & falling and I ended up with two scraped up, bloody kneecaps. One nice young man stopped & asked if I was ok...I don't even know what he looked like; I just stood up & went on my merry way & said, "Thanks! I'm fine!" Uh-huh. Falling flat on your face in front of strangers was a most humbling experience. Sitting through class with your knees bleeding was also fun. But what made the event memorable was 2 days afterward my then-boyfriend & I had to attend a housewarming/BBQ/summertime hoop-la party where HIS ex-girlfriend was going to be. Summertime...shorts...and two scabby knees. So we attend this party. Ex-girlfriend is "Vogue" perfect (of course) and I have scabby knees, and absolutely no good story to go with it! All night long people asked me, "Oh my God, what happened to your knees? Were you playing volleyball?" And I answered, "No. I have trouble walking." Since I don't know any of you personally on this board I'll take the bait and divulge my 2nd most embarrassing story. About 3 months after my 1st child was born (mind you, he was born by c-section) my friend & I were shopping and she says to me, "How did that c-section scar heal up? It really looked bad! You'll have to show it to me again sometime--Ha ha!!" I said...."Again?" Apparently while hepped up on post-surgical pain killers & hormones I flashed some visitors in my room & showed them my incision! Twelve years later and I have no recollection of doing this, but several people have verified the story for me. With child #2 I didn't accept visitors for the first 24 hours....not until the drugs had worn off! | |

Oh . . . My . . . God . . . that one had me rolling. I would love to meet your mother to hear this story from her. I've been embarrassed MANY times, but my fart-heard-round-the-world story was when I was in the 5th grade. I was already in the advanced reading class anyway with kids a year older than me. THEN I ripped one on accident in the middle of silent reading. The giggling . . . still haunts my nightmares!!! LOL, I wanted to sink into the floor, but nooooo. Kid, I'm pretty good at opening my mouth and horribly embarrassing things pop out. Or amusingly evil things. Whichever. I've had people ask me if Satan sometimes speaks through me bc of how thoughtless my remarks can be. I recently told a coworker who was going to be working from home soon (and boasting about it at the time) that they must send the ugly people home first. I swear I heard screeching car tires in my head until everyone around us started laughing. Oh well, she's a hag anyway. Gosh I'm random today. Must be the sleep deprivation. Weeeeeeeee, must spin in circles until I black out . . . | |
