Stray Cats Logo

Was there ever a female Stray Cats cat logo done? I could have sworn in the 80's that I saw one when I was in Canada.

No, it was the cat head, but it was a girl cat. Maybe someone just made it up for themselves. It was a while ago. It was a t-shirt in a shop window, and it had both cat heads on it, I cant remember what it said. It didn't look airbrushed, but I saw it late at night, the shop wasn't open, and I may have had a few too many ciders . I went back a weeks later and the shop was closed.

Sounds cool - never seen anything like that myself.

A friend of mine has the female Stray Cat head tattooed on her arm.

Think I saw it on a girl at the Screamin Fest in Spain too.

That's Kool, but it's not the one I've seen. The one I've seen is the one with the tongue out.

There has never been an official femal cat head logo as far as I know BUT if you take a look at the printed inner sleeve of the "Rant 'n Rave" album there is a dancing couple (logo cat and femal) maybe you saw that one.

Furthermore there was this fucking European Stray Cats Fan Club (which took my money and never shipped any items I odered) which offered t-shirts and patches with a blonde pony tailed female cat head logo...way too expensive as everything else there.

There are some pretty cool ones on there. My daughter printed most of them out and put them on her walls of her room.

That is a pretty cool tattoo. I was thinking of getting a male and female on my lower back.

Sorry about your rip-off BB. I know it really sucks when you see something cool, spend the money for it and never get it. Hopefully karma will come back and bite them on the ass!

Ican remember, that I've seen such a female cat to, but I can't rmember where, It was.

I don't really know but the crowned cat appeared for the first time on the Blast Off! album which contained the song Rockabilly Rules.

Also, it could have been a way to say "hey cats and kittens, the kings of rockabilly are back!"

That's got to have been done on their comeback in'89 ('88 in US) with the King of the Cat's thing. I remember living in London at the time of their 'comeback' and the Evening Standard had a cartoon pointing out that they were 'old'. It was along the lines of - What's holding up the Stray Cats these days, and a look around the back where they were held up on props. The punch line was -It's a Stray Cat Strut - lol - I'm almost dying from laughter here.

When the Stray Cats reunited for their Fall '88 tour the cat was “crownless” (you can see that on the t-shirts they sold on that tour). The first time the cat got – officially – a crown was – if I remember correctly - on the back of the cover of “Blast Off!”. It has probably to do with the slogan which has been used to promote their then new single “Bring It Back Again” which was “The Kings of Rockabilly are back” or "The new single of the Kings of Rockabilly".

I guess that’s it…I mean this makes sense.
