| Can't help with the headphones or recorder, but here goes for the amps. Depends on how much you want to spend. I have a Fender Blues Jr. that I love (tube). Nice warm Fender sound and can growl when you want it to. Cost = $479 + tax. I also heard some positive reviews about the Vox Pathfinder 15R (solid state). Cost = $119. Also need to consider the sound you're trying to capture. Good luck. | |

| Can't help with the headphones either. Amp wise, I've ordered a Line 6 Spider III amp which has built in effects. From what I've seen of the demos on You Tube, it has a great sound. It's supposed to emulate different sounding amps, such as Marshall etc. Here are some features: - 6 Effects (2 simultaneous) including phaser, Chorus/Flanger, Tremolo, Sweep Echo, Tape Echo, and Reverb
- 4 User-programmable channels
- Headphone/Direct Out for practice or recording
- Dimensions: 15.5L x 14.5H x 8.25D
Here's the link: Line 6 Spider III Price here in OZ is $215, so a good price for what should be a belter of a little amp. Check out You Tube for whatever you look at, there seems to be heaps of demos for different amps on there. René | |

| recording headphones. recently purchased a pair after much research. first determine if you want open back or closed back headphones -they sound very different. the open ones are superior sounding, no doubt. the closed backs offer isolation at high volumes (usually useful for drummers or vocalist who want to block out ambiance when recording). I chose to go with AKG K-240 MK II HEADPHONES. they sound fantastic - they are semi open (a nice compromise). they run about 150 bucks. | |

| i'll second the vox valvetronix series. you can get some great tones, both clean and dirty. i have one from the blue series which has since been discontinued - you can get vox, marshall, fender, dumble, and boogie tones out of it. | |
