| HEY GANG!! I know it's a bit of the subject but, we all know Brian loves his cars, right? And he's shown us his, right? So how's about we show him ours? I'll start by the way of a brief tour.... Not really my garage but carport....1966 XR FALCON 500 STATION WAGON... ..awaiting restore... My garage.. .. Gotta have momentos from past concerts and drag meets.... ...and car shows... Ya need stickers on tool chests.... ....and spares... And a little message to any wowsers... ...remember, only juice and milk comes in 2 litres!!! And MAKE sure you always have at least 1 cruiser on the road!!.... So my garage is small, messy and dark but it's my solace from the real world!! How about yours?? Cheers Pete. P.S. There's a 1930 BSA Sloper behind the white Falcon but it's a little hard to see!! | |

| i'm impressed by all the stuff Pete. How do you keep track of it all? If you ever end up putting your whole life on ebay like that other aussie you would need a team of accountants to figure out a good opening bid. | |

| HEY GANG!!!
First off...greasedupcruiser, great stuff man, been a while since I've seen a Morris truck or Matchless...CLASSIC! StanTheMan... Thanks man but, I really don't like Ebay since it's killed the swapmeets, and every Joe Blow now thinks his junk is worth what they're asking for on Ebay! And to tell the truth, like most car guys... I'm a hoarder!! You know the saying...." he with the most toys, wins! "...so true for most of us car guys! Unfortunately alot of the people who are now getting into the Aussie muscle car scene are doing it because their financial advisors told them it is a sure thing! Gone are the days of wrenching on each others cars, just lots of cotton wool in garages so the cars don't get dirty! AussieSam, how ya doin' buddy? Just got back today from the Weekend spent in Mildura for the Easter Drags. Great time and LOTS of Teds consumed by everyone! We've been invited to take part in a Ford Motorsport Show at Calder on April 19th. Not sure if I'm goin' but I'll let ya know, I'm sure there'll be room in one of the cars for a bit of a cruise and a drink or 5!! Cheers Pete. | |

| HEY Bobby Retro. G'Day mate! Nice.... It's always good to see that someone loves them enough to restore them rather than to let 'em rust away into oblivion. Must take alot of research and scrounging/fabrication/immagination to keep 'em goin'! Cheers Pete. | |

| Here's what graces our garage currently: (it's a bit reminiscent of the Fast and the Furious ) 1972 Chevelle SS convertible (sad cause they won't let us run at the drag strip w/o a roll cage now ) and our 2002 WRX (daily driver and autocross car) [/img] I love the smell of burning rubber and racing fuel! hrg | |

| Hey Flattop Rod, How goes? Love that Ford, is that a Plymouth in the photos as well? And the caravan? We have the same Ford Falcons over here, but they only came as 4 door wagons, sedans and 2 door coupe in the XM model. The same shape as yours is called XK, XL and XM models (different years for each model) and later XP, which also was available in a 2 door coupe. the difference in the XP model is the front and back have a flat appearence rather than curved one. I think the XM and XP also came in a panel/delivary van model. No car came from the factory as a V8, a handful where converted at the time from a car dealer. There are many that have been converted afer, most of them with the Windsor/C4 combo as a Cleveland/FMX or Big Block are too wide for the shocker tower clearence. The XM and XP have a heavier duty front end assembly than the USA cars because at the time Australia's roads where no where as good as the USA or Canadian roads, and quite literally some cars shook apart travelling interstate or on the back roads! My friend Gianni has a business called "Fishop Falcons" that specializes in repro, second hand and NOS parts for these models. Gotta love dem Fords, mine are this thread at the beginning, Cheers Pete. | |
