| Well hello there people!! My name is Jude, from New Zealand. I'm a Stray Cats fan, but I'm not the die hard one out of my husband and I - he's the one who should be here......but he's not yet, cos he's not privvy to some news that I learned recently.....not yet anyway. I received an email from the Visa Preferred Seating people a little over a month ago, and usually I hit the delete button - but something made me read this particular one. When I read it, I had goosebumps of excitement for my husband - I learned that the Stray Cats are touring Down Under after a long absence!! So immediately I found myself at the Stray Cats website, and sent an email to the address listed - and a lovely chap called Tommy wrote me back, and told me to keep a watch out - that something would be coming up in the way of a New Zealand date soonish. After daily checking on the website, and getting concerned that we might not get a NZ tour date, I wrote to Tommy again today, because I am starting to wonder if I need to book us tickets for one of the Oz shows......and he kindly takes the time to write back and tell me again, to keep a watch out....... It didn't occur to me to look for a forum, but I found one today right under my nose...... So here I am! I remember when my husband and I first got together (15 years ago), he was playing the Meteors and Stray Cats non-stop in his car.......I didn't fall in love with the Meteors, but I did with my husband, and Stray Cats...... I also remember him often telling me about seeing them in concert only a couple of years prior - they toured here with one of my favourite artists, Jimmy Barnes.....and we both got quite a kick out of that when we first met - a common interest in music that we still share. So, I've managed to keep this exciting news to myself - but I am the worlds WORST secret keeper - so I know that I will undoubtedly spill as soon as the date(s) are announced and the tickets are firmly in hand and flights booked. I won't be able to contain my excitement, and I know that my husband will be bouncing off the walls! I recently took a trip to the USA (my first time), and struggled to find a gift for hubby - but I did end up in a factory store in Boston, and saw a Stray Cats tee that I simply had to buy for Adam.....it was one of the few things that I managed to find for him - but he was a happy chappy when I presented it to him upon my return home. Well - hello to any other Kiwi fans out there.....we are in Blenheim - top of the South Island.......and hello to all Aussie/US/European fans too!! I know you'll all be equally and more excited than what I am - I've been watching daily, waiting for a NZ date to pop up, and you Aussies are going great with the ticket sales!! | |

| Helloooooo!! Haha, I can't believe your husband hasn't found out yet! You'd think someone might have mentioned it to him I'm glad you made it here, the NZ contingent is quite small.. infact, I think including you there are only 2 or 3 of you.. We want more Kiwis!! Well I do, I like the rivalry My second favourite band EVER after everything Setzer is actually The Voodoo Kreepers who come from that land of the long white cloud Kid. | |

| I know, right?! Actually, I'm lucky in that we live in a fairly small town (35,000 people) - and pretty much all we do is work - and none of the guys he works with are into Stray Cats or anything Setzer related.......and living in a small place, we don't get to hear concert announcements all that often - cos the ads tend to go in the Auckland/Wellington/Christchurch newspapers - which is good and bad - but in this case, it's good for me, cos hopefully I will be the one who gets to spill the beans......and I know I will......he's standing in the room right now, and wondering why I have this big grin on my face..... Heh.....I hope that I can become a part of your daily entertainment (rivalry ). Always love some good Kiwi/Oz banter. Actually, I consider myself almost Australian at heart. I love the place, and we do plan to move there in the not too distant future (within the next couple of years). My Uncle lives up the Sunshine Coast, and hasn't regretted a day since they moved...... So - I just googled the Voodoo Kreepers, and now Adam is wondering why I am listening to them (MySpace)......that rocks! He likes! I've never heard of them.....shame on me! We don't get out much as you can probably tell.......... I guess that is you at No 1...... | |

Hehe.. yeahhhhhh I'm great friends with Ricki (the lead singer/guitarist) and the other two guys are cool also.. They put on a great live performance, I much prefer them live because Ricki is HILARIOUS onstage (and off).. They have a CD out as well, if you want it just message the myspace (it should only be about $10 for you.. maybe a little more for postage).. Ricki is actually in America at the moment making me jealous, but he'll get back to you if you message him. Haha, actually there is banter all over the place here! Even between Aussies We're a fun bunch on this forum, don't be afraid to jump right in Kid. | |

| Great! Thanks for the info........I shall indeed send him a message........ I'm shocked to have not come across them before - you've just created a couple of new fans....... Thanks again for the warm welcome...... I'll be sure to stick around, and Adam will be here soon enough if I don't keep my mouth shut...... | |

| Hey Jude (sorry couldn't resist) I would have welcomed you earlier but I couldn't get a word in edgewise between you and the Kid Kids right, plenty of banter in here. Everyone likes to pick on a mate of mine Pickin' Pete in here, so don't forget to give him heaps!!! Enjoy the boards, lots of cool information in here and great people. Don't tell Tommy you called him nice, it'll go to his head Regards, René | |

| OH, I forgot to mention the best bit......I spoiled the surprise yesterday!!! (We had a lot of excitement yesterday - I had a job interview, AND Adam's sister had a baby....her first!!). I left the main page open to the forum here by accident - and while I was out (at the interview) he had to use the laptop and saw the forum, and of course had a nosey. Goddamn! BUT......he's like a kid full of excitement now!!! I had already put in for some annual leave, around the time of the Oz tour.....just in case I need it - and it's made my job easier with having to figure out how to get some time off work organised for Adam too! He's at work this morning, and putting in for some leave already.......and if a NZ date or two isn't announced, then we WILL be coming to Oz.....if it's not too late to pick up some decent tickets.....but I'm keeping everything crossed. He's amazed I kept it from him for this long (a month is pretty damn good for me, and it would have been longer if I hadn't have been so careless).......but man is he over the moon.......it's been a LONG time! He was raving more last night about the SC tour, than he was about becomming an Uncle! | |

| Thanks Kid...... I did notice that, but thought I should be polite and not bail him up on it, since I'm new around here. I guess I just missed a prime opportunity to do exactly what Rene gave me permission to do, huh? | |
