| Hello Max I have used my 01 6119 Gretsch for almost 5 years with the regular Filtertrons, and when i installed a pair of TV's Classic on it, and plugged in, it was an instant and highly noticible sound improvment followed by me howling and wowing at the sound! to my ears, they have a warmer growl, yet brighter. I will definatly try another set of pups from TV in the future. Gretsch pups are great, but the TV's rock If you swap for TV's, you are bound to like them .. a lot | |

| Max, you're not gonna regret swapping the original pickups for TV Jones. I did it to my 1993 6120-60 (the one in my avatar), and it was a whole new world! I don't own a 5120, but I've tested quite a few, and the stock pickups are definitely one of the things that make them so reasonably priced I bought a new 6120AM recently, and although the stock pickups on the new ones are way better (at least LOUDER!) than they were on my '93, I'm still gonna ditch them for a set of TV's. Just do it! Anders | |

Try this link http://guitarpartsresource.com/pickguard_gretsch.htm I got a HotRod pickguard, but it had to be cut a little at the bridge PU otherwise it won´t fit. | |

| Try the TV Jones with the English Mount System. They are designed to be fitted in 5120s because the std. TVJs originally only fit into the Gretsch Professional series due to their different construction of the the PU cavities. Nevertheless there are surely possibilities to use std. mountings but this will mean more work to do. | |
