BRIAN CHECKED IN FROM HAMBURG

Hey hey hey....

Brian just called to shoot the breeze with me about how the Cats' Farewell Tour is going. To say that he's having a great time would be a gross understatement. I've not heard him this upbeat and excited in a while. He, Jim and Lee are having a blast!

One thing Brian wanted me to pass on to you folks, although every show has been memorable, among his favorites have been the larger gigs. He mentioned Munich & Helsinki in particular. The larger venues give him more room to move. Not to say that he's disliked the smaller shows, but the dynamic of the big gigs has been really pleasing to him. He asked me to thank everyone who's come to the shows and bid their farewell to the Cats in such a passionate way.

I have to mention that it really says something about the Cats' legacy when you think that after all these years, they are selling out places like the Ice Hall in Finland. Club shows may be more intimate, but the fact that the Cats' are in a position to sell out several thousand seaters should be acknowledged.

Thanks for posting that info Tommy! I look forward to your continuing coverage. Glad to hear the Cats are having a blast and that the tour is doing well commercially. Hopefully we'll get dates in the States next year. Also, thanks for posting that cool pic of Brian lounging with the cigar!

The gig in Helsinki was great but my fav so far is the show in Stockholm, Berns is a fantastic place to be in www.berns.se Now am home and relaxing but catch ya at the last gig in Dublin.

Great pic! I wish I could smoke a cigar out there, I guess I'll have to make do with a Coors in Indiana. It's been great being able to see all this tour coverage being one who can't make it. It's been a blast mowing over the pics setlists and the music player has been a wonderful treat, choo choo hot fish is probably their best album since the cats debut album so it's awesome hearing some of the live performances from it. Brian is a rare guy who seems to sound better live than on a polished recording. I hope the rest of the tour continues to go well. I may be an insatiable fan but I really appreciate everything thats been put on this website. I'm going to enjoy the music player once more and maybe pop in rock tokyo
