Setzers White Falcon questions please?

This is sort of a three pronged question. In the heyday of the Stray Cats, Setzer played a White Falcon, and it can be seen in the video of Stray Cat Strut. (I think it was.)

So, anyway, I was watching the Stray Cats "Rumble in Brixton" DVD from 2004 and he plays one with a Bigsby and what appears to be no wings and stuff on the inlays.

I asume these aren't the same Falcons correct?
Secondly, am I seeing things, or is there really no wings on the inlays? Was or is this the next "Setzer Sig model"? Could I dream...... Thanks in advance

Actually, I think he traded it to Marco Perroni (sp?) for a case of Rhinegold and a pack of smokes for Lee...

Brian did sell the guitar to Marco from Adam & The Ants.
We are currently offering the guitar for sale and are searching for historical info and pictures of Brian with the guitar.

I´d never ever Pay 80k Bucks for an ugly White Falcon even if it was the Pope´s or Elvis´ guitar. Sorry, Rich, but it´s just a simple guitar and not a Picasso or a van Gogh... not even a 200 yrs old Stradivari.

For me WF is coolest guitar ever - mine is just 4 years old.

Am assuming that all the Vive Le Rock era Adam Ant pics must be the same WF then - there are loads of pics of Adam with the guitar promoting that album and tour.

Yeah, same guitar. Adam did a lot of posing with that Falcon. Marco actually played it in the "Goody Two Shoes" video. I remember seeing the Vive Le Rock tour in Philadelphia and during the guitar solos Adam would stand center stage in a spotlight playing rhythm on the Falcon while Marco remained in the shadows playing the solos on a Flying V. As much as I loved Adam, I thought it was a bit silly.

I went to the Vive Le Rock tour in Manchester -was prob best I'd seen him - now that you mention the WF brings it back to me that he had it then - unless my memory is playing tricks after all those years!

Adam appeared in a play in Manchester a year or two after his peak years - I waited afterwards to get some stuff signed for a friend in Canada - i had a cool Cats t-shirt on which he admired and said he really liked the Stray Cats!

That would be about 1990/91.

Brian and Adam were mutual fans of each other back in the day. Brian loved the Kings of the Wild Frontier record. During the Adam & the Ants 1981 tour of the UK, Adam had a Stray Cats logo sticker on his Telecaster and told Trouser Press Magazine in mid-1981 that if he weren't in the Ants, he'd want to be in Stray Cats.

forgot all about that sticker on the tele!

Ive been curious about what happened to this guitar. Did Brian buy it back? DId it sell? I would love to know.

Brian did not buy the Falcon. The guy selling it was asking a fortune for it.

I had looked on the guys website before asking about it and I could not find it listed anywhere on there. I dont know if he sold it. I thought he was asking like $80,000 for it, that seems like a lot even for someone with a healthy bank roll and history with the guitar.
