A New Stray Cats Record 2008???

Hi Brian !
Any plans for a new last Stray Cats record with new songs??, would be really awsome!!
anyone else than me who would want that??

Stray Cats are over since a long time even they'll stay the best Rockabilly band of all the times...

Would love another album even if it were only cover versions. Stray cats seem to make things sound like they should sound. Be even better if they would just keep getting together every now and then and keep the whole thing going,after all they seem to have just as big following now,if not bigger than in the 90's. They seem to still gain new young fans because peoples listening habits seem to be going back to the roots R&R,for the simple reason is that there is nothing to compete with it anymore,and their music (stray cats) goes through a real wide spectrum.
I suppose I'm babbling on because like everyone else I dont want the Stray Cats to ever end.

I confirm: I saw the Cats twice in 2004, then I saw each member separately in 2005, and I was impressed to see so much young guys in the crowd, that even weren't born in 1981! There's a new generation who loves the Cats music, their style too. So, recording a new album isn't so silly.

Why not a "farewell tour" box with a live CD / DVD and tour stickers etc.

I'm kind of surprised no one has mentioned the CDs from the last European tour. These were recorded at almost every show (I think Hamburg or one of the other German shows might have had some technical difficulties) and released individually and as a set back in 2004. Since there was no official forum back then, maybe some of you weren't aware of them. Even though they weren't the greatest sound quality, they were certainly better than most bootleg recordings. I really enjoyed them, but I wonder how much of a logistical headache this project was. Certainly the sound quality of the properly engineered Rumble in Brixton and Red Hot and Live CDs has probably raised the bar in terms of what fans expect, but the 2004 tour recordings are a valued part of my collection. I loved the one-off tunes that were unique to certain venues, like Hound Dog, High School Confidential, Rock Therapy, and Red Hot.

Anyone else interested in seeing this tour (2008) documented, either in CD or DVD form?

Yes i like the 2004 CD covering to rickabilly. Cool thing to do. The only one i miss is the Manchester gig.

If you ain't got the Manchester show pal,you are missing one of the very best of the 2004 tour.The sound quality is far superior to several of the others (P.S. I ain't knocking them -very glad to have them ).

no more stray cats-cd will be really hard but i think it´s harder if the farewell-tour will be really a farewell-tour.

since i was twelve i love the cats and the music has really helped me through many ups and downs.
there are many special moments for me i´m still thinking about when i hear the songs. so pleeeeaaaaassseeee:
