| A great bunch of guys. I saw them 6 or so years ago in a club in Aberdeen. They were brillant. All members of the band went around and chatted to the people there.
Hope all goes well.

I had the pleasure of meeting them in Germany on a festival last year, and I must admit I've never been as entertained by a band (any kind) EVER! Great musicians, great showmen, and the nicest guys you can imagine. Hope the operation is successful... Anders | |

| I had the pleasure of seeing them live a couple of times in Germany, and they ROCK the house EVERY TIME. I wish Ray and Bob a speedy recovery, and all the best to Tony as well, hang in there guys, you are in our prayers, get well soon, so you can rock our socks off again !!!!!
This is from their site :
Hi All,
Just a short note to let you all know how Ray & Bobs ops have gone........
Bob is doing great and came out of hospital on Saturday, He has a few bruises and is feeling a bit sore (in some not so nice places, if you know what I mean (men))...
Ray is also a lot better than he was a few day back, He is now up and walking about and joking , playing pop quizzes etc with the nurses, they have said he should be able to come home later this week.....
Well that's it for now, Ill keep you informed of any changes....
Cheers Tony.
Most people on the Rock 'n' Roll scene will know of The Jets the 3 Cotton Brothers, playing since 1974, and hoping to continue gigging all around the world.
Due to a genetic disorder that is inherited from birth, a faulty gene is passed through the family from their father causing cysts to form on the Kidneys, known as POLY CYSTIC KIDNEY DISEASE. The kidneys start to fail and the patient will need dialysis or have a transplant to stay alive.
Unfortunately I have reached this stage and have renal failure, my future looked very bleak, when faced with having dialysis everyday, and I would have to cease playing in the band and stop travelling. The average waiting time for a transplant being 2 - 3 years. Not a good position to be in.
Fortunately for me, my brother, singer and bass player with The Jets Bob Cotton, does not have the faulty gene and therefore has perfectly healthy kidneys and in a selfless act of kindness has offered to be a kidney donor, therefore saving my life, I cannot express how grateful I am for this chance at life.
Both Bob and myself will have to undergo major surgery in early July and will need substantial recovery periods, but we will be gigging again when we are back to full fitness during August.
This unfortunately has a down side, as not only myself, but my younger brother Tony - Drummer with The Jets, suffers from the same condition, being 4 years younger than me has not yet progressed to the same stage of renal failure, this is only a matter of time before Tony needs a kidney transplant too.
Hope to see you all at a Rock 'n' Roll club in the near future.

| I believe what was meant was that the Jets had some 45rpm records that were hits in the UK, not that the number of hits totaled 45.
