Well, I write you because I need your help.

Well, I would like to know what records of Stray Cats and Brian Setzer has been gold or platinum record and how many copies have sold.
I know that the first album "Stray Cats" was gold record in Finland, but how many copies sold.?

Also I know that the record "Built for Speed" was platinum record, but how many copies sold.?

The record "Blast Off" I think that it was also gold or platinum record, but I am not sure and I don't know how many copies sold.

About Brian Setzer I know that his album "dirty booggie" was double platinum record, but how many copies has sold.?

The last question: I would like to know if there are more records of Stray Cats or Brian Setzer that have been gold or platinum record.

and brian in 25 years of career sold 12 million records.

this is what I found out. Concerning to RIAA the following awads has been received in the USA:

Stray Cats - Built For Speed

5. Nov. 82 Gold
1. Dec. 82 Platinum

Stray Cats - Rant 'n Rave With The Stray Cats

19. Oct. 83 Gold
I saw also pictures of a Platinum record of Ranr ' Rave.

The Brian Setzer Orchestra - The Dirty Boogie

8. Oct. 98 Gold
9. Oct. 98 Platinum
18.Feb. 99 2 x Multi Platinum

As far as I know BSO's "Vavoom!" sold about 300.000 copies. No further information.

Stray Cats received their first golden record in Finland (if memory serves me correctly 15.000 copies) and also one for their debut album in the Netherlands (guess it were 25.000 or 50.000 sold copies). I think Stray Cats got also golden records in the UK but I have no info about it.

For what I know, when they split (late 1984), the Stray Cats have sold more than 4 millions records :

- 2 millions with Built For Speed in the US
- almost 1 million with Rant & Rave in the US
- the rest should be in Europ & Japan

Golden record in Finland (their 1st one) was for 25,0000. In France, the first album was golden too, but with 200,000. I think it depends of the population of the country...

The Dirty Boogie made more than 2 millions copies just for the US and Vavoom around 400,000 still just for the States.
