Hey all.
I will be posting a video of Pete here tearing it up on Saturday night as soon as I work out how to rotate a phone video.
It was an awesome night!! Pete played like a legend and the band sounded real tight. They did a version of Stray Cat Strut with a totally different arrangement, it sounded brilliant. If you ever wondered about the talents of PP, wonder no more. Great, great and did I mention great???
Thanks Pete for an fantastic evening. My lovely wife and I had a great time. You have a great family, and thanks for your friendship and encouragement

Thanks Rene, Funny night!! From having to arrange equipment for the other bands at the last minute, knocked out bass bridges before the show by enthusiastic friends trying to help out with loading stuff, singer still suffering from pharangitis(?) to not checking my tube screamer before playing, it was a laugh!! The turnout was way down from what was expected but with a huge show for charity the night before, and money being tight with alot of people, maybe it wasn't unusual. Salvy was getting frustrated and really upset, and it showed! We are all our own worst critics. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and we got another gig at the Gaslight Sept 20, a chance for us to redeem ourselves! I've got footage, but is jumpy and sound is bad, I'll see what I can do with it. On a personal note, thanks to yourself and wife for your support, and if I can help ya with ya playing let me know. Some shots we got are..
So once again, thanks for support, Cheers Pete.

Mate at the end of the day, you know about all the stuff that happened, but in the crowd, it sounded fantastic and we weren't the wiser. I hope you're happy with the way you played, I thought it sounded brilliant. I know you're your own worst critic, but mate, give yourself a pat on the back. The Gaslight isn't a redemption, it's your second gig and a great opportunity to iron out the kinks and grow as a band.
My wife and I will be there!! I'll see if I can get some of my friends there as well. What's the cost going to be?? Any ideas at this early stage?
As for support, mate, you've been great to me and I really appreciate everything you've done. Supporting is easy when it sounds that good and you're a top bloke to boot, so my pleasure.
On a side note, do I need permission to post your video??

Hey Brett, Rene took some vid on the nightand he sent it to me (thanks Rene), it's tilted side on and I can't work out how to get it right, but at least it gives an idea of the way we play...RAW!!!!!!!!!!! All the mistakes, missed cues and bummed notes are there!! But it's only rock'n'roll...but I like it!! Hopefully i'll get some other stuff on myspace soon. Cheers Pete. P.S. Don't be too harsh!!!

hmm..what can i say...
THAT SOUNDS F***IN GREAT, MR. GRETSCHPETE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The band sounds good and tight, and you`re playing really good. Awesome Gretschsound. Wonderful.
You´re a real Rockabilly cat, Sir.
The only thing, you have to talk to your cameraman. My Neck hurts a little bit now...
Cheers and greetings to the other side...
Brett

Thanks Brett, I don't consider myself anything other than an ok guitarist, I like to try and set a groove with the other players. To me it's about enjoying it, the whole show. I really appreciate your words, but the same must be said about yourself!! The next gig is October 25, I'll get a better vid then, we will be better (I know we play better than that, just alot of dramas that night), but I just love the vibe of this clip! Thanks again Brett, and Rene who shot the footage, Cheers Pete.
P.S. We had 2 half hour rehearsals and 1 run through the whole set list within 4 weeks together before we played that night, so thanks for saying we sounded tight!!! hahaha!!

Ok Gang, Rene came over tonite and left me these images that he caught on phone camera, so we'll see how they go... Warts and all, missed cues, but we always change the way we play Stray Cat Strut and just improv over the whole lot!!
Don't be harsh!!!

ah, i love that cool Gretschsound. It sounds so good, also via this phone camera video. You have a very good guitar sound, Pete.
Only thing, a little too much echo in the Stray Cat Strut, or what do you think. maybe a little shorter...only a suggestion, not really a critic.
I like it if Bands are playing their own version than the original arrangment (even like you guys).
So, i wish you and your mates a lot of cool gigs.
Rock`n Roll

Hey Rene, I think you did a wonderful job! Hey Matt, Thanks mate, I have some better stuff but having problems uploading it. hey Brett, Thanks mate, that song is our improv, let loose, do whatever you want kinda song, so sometimes I use a really long delay and other times a shorter delay. I found that everybody knows and loves that song, no matter what crowd you play to. Like Tainted Love, it's guaranteed to get people singing and dancing. Well done 3 lads from Long Island for writing an absolute classic!!

Hey thanks Jay,
Rene is an absolute champion and gentleman, the complete opposite of me! He stuck around that night and listened to us play (not very well either, in my opinion) and shot some footage, he even bought me drink!! What a champ! I'm scared he's gonna surpass me pretty soon in the guitar playing stakes, he's seen me play up close when I've shown him stuff, and he catches on pretty quick! Gotta keep my chops up! If you thought we weren't too shabby then, wait till we play next, I know we play better, just a gig from hell that night. But I enjoyed it anyways!
Cheers Pete.
