Too Hip, Gotta Go

Anybody else notice on every live recording of the Cats performing "Too Hip, Gotta Go", Brian misses the "Well, if love is not for me/Then there's a whole new world to see/Maybe, Baby, Maybe I'll see you some day" in the second verse and always sings "well I won't even bother to pack/I'm gonna leave you there Sugar and never come back/Maybe, Baby, Maybe I'll see you some day". I've often wondered if that was the way Brian intentionally wanted to record it? I would chalk it up to forgetting the lyric, but he sings it that way on EVERY recording (that I've heard at least) of that song. Anybody know the reasoning behind the lyric change, if intentional? Tommy, if you have a live version in the archives with the correct lyric, I would LOVE to hear it

Yeah that's part of Rock n Roll I guess.
It doesn't have to be clean as Dire Straits or whatever.
He messes up sometimes like anybody else. "When I pick the wrong note I sometimes hit it more. Like it's meant to be!" he once told in an interview.
